Dave has been in the automotive service industry for more than 30 years, with more than 25 of those years working exclusively on BMWs. He began his career as one of the first graduates of BMW’s elite Service Technician Education Program. After graduating, Dave moved to the Pacific Northwest and spent 8 years at a local BMW dealership as a Master Technician and Shop Foreman. He then moved on to a local independent BMW repair shop, where he spent 7 years before starting Eastside Bavarian in 2003. Dave manages all business related aspects of Eastside Bavarian and is always available to serve his team and his customers. Dave’s commitment to his trade is unwavering and you can still see him in the shop working on cars and providing guidance and support to all. Dave resides in Issaquah with his wife Teri; they have two sons, Michael and Mark. In his spare time Dave enjoys off-road biking, hiking, boating, water sports and just about anything involving the outdoors and sunshine!
Don joined Eastside Bavarian in 2011. With more than 20 years in the auto body field, Don brings the attention to detail needed to run an efficient parts department and fully support the technical team at Eastside Bavarian. Don is a native Washingtonian, still residing in his home town of Snoqualmie. Don has two sons, enjoys music, hiking, and restoring vintage cars.
Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to the Eastside Bavarian Team. He graduated from the Universal Technical Institute in 1996, then attended BMW’s S.T.E.P. Program (graduating in 1997) and achieved BMW Master Technician status. Before joining Eastside Bavarian in 2010, he spent 13 years at the local BMW dealership. Mark’s extensive technical training, years of experience, and his incredible attention to detail are of immense value to Eastside Bavarian. He is dedicated to his profession and provides outstanding service to all. Mark is married with one daughter. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, his pets, and reading.
James joined Eastside Bavarian in 2005, while still enrolled in Lake Washington Technical College. He earned his Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automotive Repair Technician in 2006, and continues to hone his skills by attending continuing education classes. Hailing from Vermont, James enjoys the great outdoor activities of the Pacific Northwest, like hiking, skiing, snowboarding and cross fit. In his free time, he likes to spend time with family and enjoys classic trucks.
Imre “JR”, brings both incredible breadth and depth of German car knowledge to Eastside Bavarian and all those he serves. JR was born and raised in Germany where he not only graduated from technical school, but his father and mentor worked for BMW and his mother worked in accounting for BMW. Before joining Eastside Bavarian, JR spent thirty years at a local independent European repair facility. JR is dedicated to continuing to hone and expand his skills, he is an incredible team player and probably one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. In his spare time, he spends time with his family and can also be found helping out with the Pro3 Racing group. JR is married with one daughter and a son who hopes to follow in his footsteps, continuing the family automotive legacy.
Justin joined Team Eastiside Bavarian in 2019. After graduating from UTI’s BMW Service Technician Education Program (S.T.E.P) program, he spent time at a local BMW Dealership. Justin’s enthusiasm for German cars is only surpassed by his quest for knowledge. In addition to his extensive training on BMWs, he continues to advance his skills on Minis to better serve the team and his customers. Justin is a native Washingtonian and enjoys riding his motorcycle and exploring the PNW with his Golden Retriever Marley.
Ryan joins Eastside Bavarian with both great technical training and valuable applied service experience. Ryan earned his Associates Degree in Automotive Technology from Universal Technical Institute and after graduation went straight to work as a technician at a local independent repair shop. Within a few short years he was leading a team of technicians. The last few years before joining Eastside Bavarian Ryan was a Service Advisor at the local Tesla dealer, serving both his customers with fantastic service and his team with technical expertise. His dedication to ‘service excellence’ is appreciated by all. Ryan’ is a true Washingtonian, with his family settling in the Nisqually Valley in the mid 1800’s, before Washington became a State. In his spare time Ryan enjoys motocross, hiking, cooking and photography.
Chris brings tremendous strength to the Eastside Bavarian Team. After completing Wyoming Technical Institute, he was accepted in to BMW’s S.T.E.P. Program (graduating in 1998) and achieved BMW Master Technician status. Chris then headed east to Massachusetts and spent the next few years at Herb Chambers BMW in Boston. Wanting to return to his native WA, he then took a position with the local BMW dealership, where he spent 17 years before joining us all here at Eastiside. Chris’s depth and breadth of knowledge and experience are of enormous value to the Team and all those he serves. His tremendous technical abilities are exceeded only by his commitment to service excellence and all around great nature. Chris, along with his wife, son and their dog Kona enjoy camping, mountain biking, hiking and all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Ken has been with Eastside Bavarian since the beginning, joining the team in early 2004, just a few short months after opening. Ken has spent most of his career in the automotive service industry, with some 3 years at the local BMW dealership and 21 years with Sears Automotive. Ken knows, appreciates and values the importance of quality service, and dedicates himself to the total customer experience. Ken lives in Bellevue with his wife and their two youngest of his five children. Ken is active in his church, and enjoys music, sports and a hosting a great BBQ for his family and friends.
